An incredible array of vehicles and once in a lifetime experiences are on offer at this year’s BEN Ball charity auction on Wednesday 16 December.

Kindly donated by BEN supporters the lots include:

  • Two VIP Champions League second round tickets with hospitality.  Donated by Ford Motor Company Limited
  • A signed Jason Plato race suit from 2008 British Touring Car Championship.  Donated by Jason Plato & Unipart Group
  • Sailing weekend for four people.  Sailing out of Port Solent, the weekend includes tuition, onboard food and overnight stay.  Donated by BDM and Ontime Automotive Ltd
  • An original piece of artwork by Ian Cook.  Donated by Popbang Colour
  • A Fiat 500bydiesel 1.4 16V Sport.  Donated by Fiat Group Automobiles UK

6 O Sale Crowns Fine Year For DVLA

A 24-year-old bought the registration 6 O for a staggering £100,216 during the final day of DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Christmas auction staged at Tankersley Manor Hotel, near Barnsley.

Incredibly, 6 O takes his total spend for the year to more than £246,000 on just three number plates and yet Ghanim al-Hadaifi declared his spending spree is far from over.

A member of the Qatar diplomatic family living in London, he bought 4 O from the DVLA summer auction for £63,000, 5 O from the agency’s autumn event for £83,000 – though that plate was a gift for the Qatari ruling family.

Numberplate could sell for £100,000

FANS of the late Princess of Wales will be queuing up to bid for car numberplate D1ANA at auction. The coveted registration plate is expected to fetch £100,000 - possibly more – when it goes up for auction at COYS “True Greats”, motoring auction at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on December 1.

The number plate is part of a massive auction which is receiving attention from all over the world as investors and collectors look to new areas to invest their money in.
