Christmas Comes Early For Personalised Registration Lovers

DVLA Personalised Registrations is ensuring Christmas will come early for those wanting to buy their loved ones that extra special, personal, gift this year.

With the Agency’s sixth, and final, three-day auction of 2010 getting underway on Wednesday, December 1, successful bidders will be able to go through the formalities and be in a position to place their prize on a vehicle in time for December 25.

With statistics held by DVLA Personalised Registrations showing more than one third of all personalised registrations it sells are bought as gifts, the Agency is bracing itself for the festive season ahead starting with the auction being staged at Ardencote Manor Hotel, Claverdon, in Warwickshire.

Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said: “As our figures show, a huge number of personalised registrations are bought as gifts, and what better personal gift for someone than their own private registration, one they’re able to keep for life!

“Our final auction of the year is timed to ensure those successful bidders will be able to turnaround the relevant paperwork in time to be in a position to place their plate on their chosen vehicle. The perfect Christmas surprise.”

The “star” plate of the Ardencote auction will undoubtedly be 11 O which boasts a reserve of £10,000. It is the latest in the O-series steadily released by DVLA Personalised Registrations since January 2009. To date, the sale of 15 registrations from the series has amassed a staggering £1.2 million.

In total, DVLA’s forthcoming auction will comprise 1,500 registrations chosen to offer an eclectic mix to suit all tastes, styles and pockets, including, 777 A (reserve - £3,000), ALF 4C (£400), BAL 5A (£400), D111 ANA (£900), EL10 TTS (£900), 51 ENA (£1,900), F40 WOW (£300), F40 XXX (£900), 66 JLS (£1,900), LAY 8Y (£400), LOU 115E (£900), 11 O (£10,000), 32 OO (£3,000), 4 OOO (£4,000), OPR 4H (£450), OUR 805S (£400), P911 CUP (£900).
