The 79th Geneva International Motor Show is a sell-out!

The automobile industry will be fully represented at the next Geneva International Motor Show in the spring of 2009. The organizers of the Show are delighted that all of the major automobile manufacturers will be exhibiting in spite of the alarming developments in the industry during the past few weeks. New for this year will be the special arrangement of Hall 3 to allow specialist exhibitors to present their latest developments in the area of electric and other alternative methods of propulsion.

Rare cars & bikes get ready to excite Classic Motor Show fans
Unipower GTA lovingly restored Panther 6, one of only two produced; the only Unipower GT on the road in Europe. Prefer two wheels? How about the Texas Cee-Gar or Little Miss Dynamite, the ace Café racer? Just a few of the extremely rare cars and motorcycles that will be on display at the Classic Motor Show, which starts Friday 14th and runs until Sunday 16th November at Birmingham’s NEC.

M-Power Cavalcade for Pistonheads

BMW's M1 Supercar BMW fans can look forward to the ultimate treat at January’s PistonHeads Show with the BMW Car Club GB announcing the line-up for the show’s M-POWER display.

PistonHeads Show goers will get a rare glimpse of BMW’s M1 Supercar, conceived in the late 1970s, and billed as the first user-friendly supercar. Only 399 road versions were ever produced, although the M1 was a successful sports racer with technology from the mid-engined, 162mph machine later used in the M5 saloon.

The Cool Pavilion at the 2009 Commercial Vehicle Show will be a better place to do business.  Even in the tough economic times, the food industry is doing better than most other sectors.  The industry depends on road transport to deliver its success and much of that involves refrigerated or temperature-controlled vans, trucks and trailers.

Wanted Jaguars for Hackett Beaujolais Run

Wanted Jaguars for Hackett Beaujolais RunJaguar is to be the “celebrated” mark for this year's Hackett Beaujolais Run, which this year will start at Bibendum on London’s Fulham Road and the organisers are appealing for Jaguars.

Director of the Run, Rob Bellinger, said: “We are appealing to Jaguar owners to take part in this years run which takes place from Tuesday November 18th to Friday November 21st and will for the first time will run through the centre of Paris.”

In 1976 the gauntlet was thrown down to Fleet Street to bring back the first bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau. The challenge caught the imagination of both car and wine enthusiasts. The object back then was speed, but now it is a distance trial, with drivers picking up points at checkpoints throughout France on their way to Macon.

Aygo to Goodwood

Toyota’s “shopping supercar”, Aygo Crazy, will make an unexpected early public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 11-13 July.

Toyota's shopping supercar, Aygo CrazyThe mid-engined, 200 horsepower Aygo will be driven by Scotsman, Peter Dumbreck, who drives a 500bhp Lexus in the Japanese SuperGT series.

Aygo Crazy is the perfect antidote to all those wild concept cars that look great on the show stand but never turn a wheel. It is a unique machine that has been developed from the start to deliver no-holds-barred maximum driving pleasure.

Toyota bosses will be watching with some trepidation as the car is due to be one of the stars of the Toyota stand at the British International Motor Show in London just a few days after it runs at Goodwood.
