The BMW Show at Santa Pod Raceway has been steadily growing in size and reputation since it was introduced in 2006. Unlike many other shows on the BMW scene, this event is an all-action day at the races for all BMW fans. It doesn’t matter if you are into the latest modern offerings, chrome-glistening classics, modified or retro rides, the BMW Show welcomes you. Even BMW bikers and new Mini fans are welcome!
Since this is Santa Pod Raceway, there is a real focus on the dragstrip with the track open exclusively for BMWs all day; plus, new for 2010, the first hour of RWYB is completely FREE! There’s nothing like the thrill of going full-throttle with no speed cameras or policemen to worry about, and shaving tenths of a second off your best time and improving your technique is highly addictive!
For those after a few lateral G’s, there is a FREE handling track for some cone-dodging fun, and also some drift demos by a BMW vs Jap team of top drifters. World-class car and bike stunt drivers Terry Grant and Paul Todd will be wowing the crowd with some incredible tricks while the incredible 270mph Fireforce Jet Car will be keeping spectators entertained also.
In addition to the tyre-smoke and engine revs, there’s also a large static show element including, for the first time, the BMW Drivers Racing Club, F1 show car and simulator, club displays, a show & shine competition, traders, and free camping for weekend ticket holders.
The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and welcoming, but with a real high-octane buzz, so if you’ve not been before make 2010 your debut at the BMW Show at Santa Pod Raceway… and if you have been before, we’re sure we’ll see you again this September!
