The new Golf – an all-round safe vehicle

Once again the latest Golf has received five stars in the EuroNCAP evaluation: the European crash test programme EuroNCAP awarded the new Golf the highest score of five stars, even according to the stricter and more comprehensive assessment criteria. Furthermore, the Golf received the highest overall rating of any vehicle. In the latest rating of the EuroNCAP all safety and assistant systems of the individual vehicles are now being assessed. Up until now, safety systems such as the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), which is fitted in the Golf as standard, were not taken into account in the evaluation.

Renault Unveils New Clio

• New Clio opens a fresh chapter in the Clio epic that began in 1990 and has seen the model go from strength to strength
• New Clio carries over the same qualities that saw Clio III take the 'Car of the Year ' award in 2006, namely benchmark cabin space, safety, comfort and roadholding, as well as the same rigorous build quality that has made it one of its segment's most reliable models
• New Clio features:
  • the same dynamic cues as those which have become the hallmarks of New Mégane's frontal design
  • a new GT version, enabling more Clio customers to sample extra Va Va Voom
  • Carminat TomTom, the first fully integrated and affordable GPS navigation solution. Co-developed with TomTom, the system will be easily updateable via the internet and has a large colour screen.  It also includes traffic and speed limit information, as well as safety camera locations, all for a price of less than £500

Volkswagen has today unveiled the second generation Golf Plus at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy.

The updated design of the new Golf Plus forges a link to the bodystyle of the sixth generation Golf hatchback and gives a distinctive and dynamic appearance.  The front is dominated by the horizontally aligned band of the radiator grille with two high-gloss black cross-bars and an integrated Volkswagen roundel, between revised headlights.
