Motor Codes has revealed the winner of its Golden Garages competition, Kinghams of Croydon.  And as an enthusiastic supporter of Motor Codes and the Golden Garages competition, independent motoring website, HonestJohn.co.uk has awarded Kinghams its first ever Golden HAT.

“It has always been my view that the best way to get rid of bad garages is to support good garages, so the good garages get the business” explained Honest John.  “That’s why, in 1997, I started the Good Garage Guide in Telegraph Motoring, based solely on reader recommendations.”

This has grown ever since at www.honestjohn.co.uk/goodgarageguide with fresh recommendations added almost daily. When Motor Codes took the initiative to set a garage service code of practice, Honest John fully supported it, especially since it is backed up by an honest and independent means of settling disputes.

“We are, therefore, delighted that Motor Codes’ Golden Garages competition, launched to find the best garages in the country, has had such a phenomenal response, with over 8,500 nominations” continued Honest John.  “And we are very pleased to include Kinghams of Croydon and the runners-up in the Good Garages Guide, with Kinghams receiving our first ever Golden HAT (Highly Approved Trader).”

Building on its goal of bringing of honest, trustworthy service to motorists across the UK, Motor Codes set-up the Golden Garage competition to highlight the best service and repair businesses in the country.
