|  | As new innovations go this one is pretty darn special: Plasma winch rope is the modern alternative to traditional steel wire cable and as such is able to trump its older counterpart in a number of ways.Firstly it is incredibly lightweight: According to Famous Four plasma winch rope weighs less than nine percent of an equivalent run of steel cable. Not only this but with a 7.9 tonne minimum breaking strain for straight pulls it is in many cases also the stronger of the two options.
Other bonuses include that this plasma rope is hard wearing as it's impregnated to improve abrasion resistance and should the rope snap for any reason under tension it's safer as there's minimal recoil. On top of this, plasma rope will not splinter or kink. Famous Four are currently offering 9.5mm plasma rope, pre-cut to 30m (100ft) lengths for the great price of £171.35.
