Entente Cordiale 18th to 24th June 2010 Besancon (Epernay & Switzerland) 82 Cars, 179 people, 13 marshals including the 2 breakdown crews We may have been going through a recession but that did not stop the enthusiasm people have for the Entente Cordiale. Our 16th tour took place again in mid June with 82 cars taking to the traffic free roads of Eastern France. Unfortunately one car did break down with head gasket trouble on the way to Dover Friday morning so was unable to join us, but the other 72 started their journey from Dover to Calais with another 10 joining us in either Epernay or Besancon. "Ententies" came from Germany, France and Belgium as well as all over England. This year we had 24 new participants who were soon made welcome by the seasoned "Ententies." The weather was kind to us as it had forecast the week to be dull and wet but in fact the rain held off, and although a little overcast to start with the last three days were brilliant sunshine. Too hot maybe for those classics with hard tops and no air conditioning but we British are made of tougher stuff and coped well.
