The Volkswagen Golf has been revealed as the UK’s most sought after car, according to statistics from leading used car website Carmony. A common sight on British roads for 30 years, the Volkswagen Golf tops the category of most searched for car. Volkswagen is the most popular make of car.

The top 10 most searched for cars include:

“The Volkswagen Golf has always been a favourite with the British motorist and it’s no surprise it’s the most searched for model on Carmony,” commented Alan Hazelhurst, Managing Director, Carmony.co.uk.

“There are currently over 70,000 manufacturer and dealer approved used cars on the site, a number that’s grown massively since the site launched last year. Whether consumers have a specific make/model in mind, or they’re searching for a vehicle to match their own particular lifestyle, we offer huge choice.” 

Since the site launched a year ago, there have been nearly 13 million searches for used cars. Consumers are able to search the site via make/model or lifestyle. Designed to make finding a car even easier, Carmony created the simple, easy to use lifestyle search facility which matches users to a car based on their needs - be it room for the whole gang, boot space for the dog or a car that matches their green credentials.

Carmony lists over 3,309 Volkswagen cars, including 1,061 Golfs.
